Dedicated dining space brightens up back yard

The lack of a dedicated outdoor dining area and deteriorating wooden steps prompted this homeowner in Richfield to update the back entrance. Villa Landscapes used the durable Versa-Lok® pedestal stack steps, capped with Willow Creek Slatestone in Bleu for the landing, and added contrasting treads and borders. The steps flow easily to both the new patio and the existing sidewalk, while the elevated patio defines the space for small gatherings. The homeowner plans a second project that will include a grill island niche between the Slatestone patio and the home's wing wall.

Home's entrance made welcoming and safer with same level patio, sidewalk

This homeowner in Eden Prairie wanted to freshen up the home's entrance, widen the walkway and make it one level. By removing an extra step and creating a patio with the new entrance, Villa created a multi-purpose and visually stunning feature to the home. The homeowner can use the extra space of the patio for entertaining and for access when it is needed. Which product? Villa also selected appropriately sized greenery to open up the entry, rock and bark mulch for variety, contrasting soldier and sailor paver courses in charcoal to define the walkway and landscaped areas, and a retaining wall planter to define the exterior. The result is an extraordinary entrance that is both multi-functional and welcoming and ultimately a safer entrance. Unique seating and fire pit area sets outdoor living space apart from the rest

The circular patio created with Unilock Trevia pavers in Oakwood adds contrasts and interest around the Willow Creek Ledgestone fire ring kit in Bronze Blend, while areas of Chilton flagstone steppers, river rock and mulch add pizzazz to the plant areas.

This family in Champlin wanted to enhance their outdoor living space with a stunning fire pit and seating area. Villa Landscapes used VERSA-LOK segmental retaining wall blocks in Bronze Blend to create a spacious couch seating wall subtly accented with a layer of Unilock Copthorne pavers in Burgundy Red. The couch creates a beautiful surround to the fire pit that will extend outdoor time long into the night and late into the seasons, especially with the addition of inset lighting. Patios and walkways combine Unilock Brussels in Sierra paving stones complimented by double borders in Sierra and Burgundy Red. Outdoor space becomes a restful spot for visitors

A family in Robbinsdale needed an updated patio. Villa Landscapes created a beautiful outdoor living space using Willow Creek Cobblestone pavers. The space is now a restful spot for visitors, family and friends. Entrance steps and a seat wall were both created with the versatile VERSA-LOK retaining wall system. The gently curved patio allows enough room for a dining area, and the seat wall offers a bit of privacy

Poolside is the place to be

A Blaine family needed a poolside patio that could serve as an outdoor living space for entertaining as well as dining and family time. With family and friends in mind, Villa Landscapes created a poolside haven. A graceful walkway from the back deck leads to a large patio with seat walls created from VERSA-LOK Standard retaining wall blocks in Bronze Blend as well as new steps leading into the pool. Willow Creek Cobblestone paving stones in Charcoal Blend accented with a black soldier course outline the curved walkway and highlight the patio's unique shape as well as the dining and fireplace areas.Needed a poolside patio that could serve as an outdoor living space for entertaining, dining and family time.Needed a poolside patio that could serve as an outdoor living space for entertaining, dining and family time.

Fresh look with pavers and flagstone energizes entry

A fresh, updated look is just what this Bloomington family ordered for their front entrance. Villa Landscapes used Willow Creek Cobblestone in Lakeshore Blend for new front steps, sidewalk and border to accent the home's existing brick façade. The inset circular paver design in the walkway adds flair, and limestone outcroppings and Chilton Flagstone steppers add interest as a natural trail to the side yard. The inset circular paver design in the walkway adds flair. This front entry is complemented by plantings.

Patio links dining room with new outdoor living space

This dining area is an extension of the house.A ground-level deck was transformed into a beautiful outdoor living space with a circular patio, seat walls and a stunning fireplace for a Plymouth family. Villa Landscapes created a natural extension of the home's dining room that is accented by the rustic texture and random, natural pattern from Willow Creek Cobblestone pavers in Lakeshore Blend with a Charcoal border. With ample space for dining or chairs for relaxation, the patio provides the perfect spot to enjoy watching wildlife in the adjacent stretch of woods. A stately Willow Creek Ledgestone fireplace serves as a gathering spot for evening relaxation. A seat wall and steps are created with VERSA-LOK Standard retaining wall block in Chestnut Blend.

One space to greet guests, another to entertain

The Villa Landscapes solution included an entry court in the front of the house and plenty of space for seating around a Ledgestone fire ring in the back. A paver border running around one side of the house, and separating the lawn from a bed of landscape rock, connects the front and back portions of this project.
